For this painting idea, I held a mirror over my head to try a more unusual viewpoint. Being just under 5 feet tall, I thought this would be a way to see a tall person's view of me. The classroom (I taught painting) had florescent lighting, and also good North light. The mirror bounced all this light around every time I moved. Challenging, and holding a mirror overhead for that long. There were always the counters at the ol' bank that made me feel short.

I really didn't think about being short much until I went to a family reunion on my mom's dad's side of the family, who were blessed to all be at least 5'10" to 7'2" and they thought I was in grade school. Imagine their surprise when I said I was a senior in college! The point is, we need to be comfortable in our own skin, for there will always be those taller or shorter than oneself. There is rarely a good reason to act short ! Live large!

Love and blessings,

Brenda
